Ontario:
"Helicopters and an operations center"
Los Angeles:
“We chase them
”
Mexico City:
“We cause huge traffic jams in the middle of the night”
I don’t know if these are common around the world, but cops here typically carry out “carrusels” which basically means that they stop people from speeding by causing traffic jams. These are doing the “preventative” speed limit which is lower than the regular one
.

My dad used to throw baseballs/footballs/bats at people that sped down our street. Seemed to work. I have more muscles and tattoos than my dad, so I just stare people down.

It used to be a regular procedure here in Holland, up until a piece of shit gas thief drove full speed into the back of a Fo rd Focus, driving at the back of the traffic jam, killing an innocent child in the ordeal.
Since then , theres been quite some discussion about whether the method is a proper one to use. Im not even sure if they still do it nowadays.

Once at my grandparent’s town (rather small) I asked why people parked like shit on purpose and they told me it slowed people down cus they didn’t have a wide enough road.
Perception messes with you

Oh that sounds bad.... As it is applied here I think it’s worth it, but if we had more speed cameras and better control of the roads not carrying it out would be better

“preventative” speed limit
Outrageous.
Now I’m not the kind of guy who’ll demand that everyone ahead of me should speed whenever I feel like speeding... because I know that I have no right to expect them to break the law for me. B ut THIS? This is definitely an overreach. Going s lower than the posted speed limit is literally, by definition: obstructing traffic . It’s not obstructing traffic because “ Ricky Bobby wanna go fast” . It’s obstructing traffic because there’s no need to go that slow. I t’s completely artificial and uncalled-for, and serves only to foster contempt towards law enforcement.

It’s close to midnight.... in most places
youre supposed to go under the posted speed limit anyway. But Yeah, not very effective... and I don't want to imagine how much hell it causes to ambulances.. But I support them doing it because street racing is a problem here.

In my case the perception is correct, as I have a closet full of semi automatic handguns and rifles, plus enough ammo to take out a city block.

I dunno about “supposed to go under the posted speed limit”. You might be focusing to much on “over” vs “under” when there’s always the third option: “at”. And it’s the difference between “at” vs “under” that I’m splitting hairs over . Again, I’m not trying to define “ at the speed limit” as obstructing traffic. It’s only “ under the speed limit” that I’m condemning here.
